K+K TAC (transparent audio compression).
Another solution for high quality audio compression, TAC gives a broader range of compression ratios and does not require external license for commercial usage. TAC is a proprietary format developed by us.

K+K Research AAC Technology

K+K AAC is developed for compressing music utilizing state-of-the-art AAC technology. K+K AAC can produce full CD-quality files in 128 kbps bitrate (1:11 compression rate).
We have developed a high-quality AAC encoder , a frontend for the encoder with batch-encoding, and an AAC plug-in for Winamp + a decoder.
Typical applications are; music publishing (in a compressed format for faster download and smaller storage space), transfer or music between studio and radio stations or similar.

K+K Research TAC technology

K+K TAC is developed for compressing music utilizing K+K TAC audio compression technology. K+K TAC can produce audio tracks with total transparency (audibly lossless) in bitrates of 140 to 180 kbps (depending on the complexity of the material). In lower bitrates / quality settings TAC can give better audio quality than other compression techniques.

Typical applications are; music publishing (in a compressed format for faster download and smaller storage space), transfer of music between studio and radio stations or similar.

K+K TAC uses our proprietary Active Pre Echo Cancellation (APEC) to avoid the annoying pre-echoes often found in
other audio compression formats (WMA, VQF,....).
